Free Irrigation Calculator

Designed for use worldwide, IrriSense is a free, mobile-friendly irrigation calculator for supported crops and locations with weather-data coverage. It helps growers estimate running times for sprinklers, micro-sprinklers and drip systems. Calculations use global weather-model data supplied by Open-Meteo, which combines output from international meteorological services. Confirm your field location, enter your crop and irrigation details, and receive an estimated irrigation time in hours and minutes. Weather values are estimates for your selected location, rather than direct readings from a weather station on your field. Check the inputs, soil assumptions and results against actual field conditions before irrigating.

Consulting services

From the first water study to a system that works in the field.

Independent support for new plantation projects and existing operations. Each assignment is shaped around your crop, soil, climate, terrain, water source, and project stage.

01

Plantation feasibility studies

Irrigation and water-supply input for plantation project feasibility, concept assessment, and investment decisions.

02

Plantation planning and concepts

Develop irrigation concepts and engineering plans for commercial farms, from early planning through operating requirements.

03

Best-fit irrigation research

Compare suitable irrigation systems for the crop, soil type, climate, topography, water availability, and operating conditions.

04

Irrigation design and BOQ

Prepare irrigation designs and bills of quantities to support clear, competitive requests for quotation.

05

System evaluations and reports

Evaluate existing systems, field performance, hydraulic balance, water application, and operational constraints.

06

Failing system troubleshooting

Investigate pressure, flow, elevation, pumping, and distribution problems; recommend practical improvement options.

07

Water sources and intakes

Study water sources and intake concepts, and assess the engineering needed to move water reliably to the field.

08

Fertigation and fertilizer systems

Design fertigation systems, including systems that convert granular fertilizer handling to liquid application.

Crop range: Irrigation consulting for large-scale commercial plantations of different crops, with particular experience in commercial banana plantations.
Experience across plantation projects

Irrigation systems balanced and upgraded at scale.

Across commercial plantation projects covering 30,000 hectares, my work has included irrigation-system assessment, hydraulic balancing, and practical upgrades to improve how systems respond to terrain, crop needs, and operating conditions.

  1. 01 / REVIEW

Assess layouts, elevations, pressure, flow, and water application across irrigation blocks.

  2. 02 / BALANCE

Identify distribution differences and develop adjustments suited to field conditions.

  3. 03 / UPGRADE

Prioritize practical improvements that support reliable, more even irrigation.

Working together

Clear scope. Useful engineering. Direct communication.

Start with the challenge and the decision you need to make. The work can be remote, on-site, or a combination, depending on the assignment.

01 · UNDERSTAND

Review the project

Discuss the plantation, water source, crop, system, terrain, and the problem or decision at hand.

02 · INVESTIGATE

Assess the evidence

Review available drawings and data; identify what needs field measurement, inspection, or further analysis.

03 · ADVISE

Set out next steps

Receive findings and practical recommendations suited to the project’s objectives and operating conditions.
